Iowa Public Television is proud to be the home for Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Championships. The 2016 IGHSAU Iowa Farm Bureau Girls State Soccer Championships at the James W. Cownie Soccer Park in Des Moines will be broadcast LIVE on statewide Iowa Public Television. Teams from across the state will compete for their respective class titles.

On Thursday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m., viewers across the state can enjoy the premiere of season 6 of Iowa Outdoors, an Iowa Public Television series focusing on outdoor recreation, environmental issues, conservation initiatives and Iowa’s outdoor natural resources. The series is created through a partnership between Iowa Public Television and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

Iowa Public Television will air an exclusive broadcast of the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra’s 2016 “Ode to Joy” concert, honoring a milestone in musical achievement. Ode to Joy Sioux City Symphony Orchestra 100th Year premieres on statewide Iowa Public Television Monday, June 6 at 8 p.m. and will air again Sunday, June 12 at 3:30 p.m.

Iowa Public Television is premiering its full-fledged, locally produced children’s program complete with ten 30-minute episodes focused on Iowa children. Dedicated to fun, adventure and learning, the IPTV KIDS Clubhouse series will premiere on statewide Iowa Public Television on Friday, June 3 at 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. and Saturday, June 4 at 7 a.m. New episodes will premiere each week in these same time slots throughout the summer.

Iowa Public Television is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its Reading Road Trip with a record-breaking 75 stops at libraries across the state. Dan Wardell, popular host of the IPTV KIDS Clubhouse, will welcome kids and families in communities across Iowa throughout the summer.

Iowa Public Television will partner with libraries to promote summer reading. Wardell, through an interactive original story, will encourage kids to read a good book, go outside and play, use their imaginations and eat healthy foods.
